Sophie & Paul Wedding at the Hay Barn Herefordshire

It must have been the hottest day of the year with the temperature reading 37 degrees in the car, but what a perfect day for Sophie and Paul to get married at the Hay Barn near Ewyas Harold in Herefordshire.

The day started off with lots of excitement as Sophie, her mother and Bridesmaids got ready for the ceremony whilst Paul and his groomsmen got ready in a near by hotel.

Sophie's mother wore a lovely gold lace dress with matching sandals and the bridesmaids looked perfect in pink dresses. Sophie and Paul's daughter was their flower girl and looked lovely in a little white dress with a circlet of flowers on her head, and she carried a little matching wand of pink and cream flowers.

Paul and his groomsmen looked very dapper in matching blue suits with pink bow ties.

Sophie looked beautiful in a strapless white wedding gown and she carried a bouquet of pink and cream flowers.

After the wedding ceremony guests mingled on the lawn or relaxed under sun canopies whilst others chose to play games of table tennis or Jenga, before heading inside for the wedding breakfast.

The wedding cake was made by Sophie's aunt and brought all the way from Leeds in perfect condition for the big day.

The wedding venue

The Hay Barn is a family run weddings and events venue set amid beautiful peaceful countryside and set the scene for an idyllic wedding. As well as there being many backdrops to photograph the bride and groom and their guests the Hay Barn also provided beautiful accommodation for the bride to prepare for the wedding, a lovely summery open barn in which to have the ceremony and a converted hay loft for the reception which also included a bar and a little corner with sofas and coffee tables. Nearby is a little bridge over a stream and just behind that it is possible to go down beside the stream, although for some reason today, it was a little muddy and slippery despite the heat. The staff at the Hay Barn are really amazing and so helpful to everyone and this contributed hugely to a perfect wedding day for Sophie and Paul. As a wedding venue I was so impressed that I would recommend the Hay Barn to couples who wanted a countryside venue. A link to their website is here https://www.haybarnherefordshire.co.uk/ .

During the ceremony there was a surprise from Steve who turned out to be a singing waiter! He really got everyone up out of their chairs and dancing along to his wonderful singing and I, as well as everyone else, were very impressed with him. I was so impressed that I am going to put a link to his website here www.bravosingingwaiters.co.uk as I would recommend him to anyone wishing to hire an excellent singing waiter.

Sophie and Paul both looked amazing as did all their guests and a fabulous day was had by all. Here are some of the photos that I took on the day.
