The wedding of Barbara and David

Barbara and David got married on a perfectly sunny and very hot day in June at Hereford Town Hall. The morning began with Barbara getting ready at home, surrounded by friends to offer support and a helping hand to get into the beautiful wedding dress she had chosen for the occasion.

Barbara wore a full length strapless dress, trimmed with pearls and crystals, and a dainty pearl and crystal tiara in her hair. She carried a bouquet of red and white roses interspersed with pretty thistles, the thistle being the national flower of Scotland.

Once ready, and with the wedding car now outside, Barbara finally poses with her friends and family before heading to the Town hall.

Barbara is transported to the Town Hall in a beautiful vintage open topped Volkswagen Beetle, complete with vintage suitcase on the back.

Inside the Town Hall David, in a traditional kilt and jacket, waits for Barbara to arrive.

And then, following a piper playing the bagpipes, Barbara arrives and the ceremony begins.

After the ceremony the newly married bride and groom return to the wedding car and make their way round to the Cathedral for some photographs together.

Following this the couple head to the reception where they are again met by the piper and follow him in to the reception hall to meet their guests.

Later on, the bride gathered all the single ladies together for the throwing of the bouquet ....

... which was expertly caught by this little chap.

Later on it was time for the first dance. Barbara and David danced to Etta James's song "At Last".

Then it was time to cut the cake ....

.... before celebrating on into the evening.
