The Elgar Room, gracefully situated within the Council House in Great Malvern, offers a charming and historically rich venue for various occasions. Housed in what was once the distinguished Priory Mansion, built in 1874 by Alfred Speer, the room and its surroundings beautifully retain many of their original Victorian features. Guests are welcomed into handsome grounds that seamlessly connect to the picturesque Priory Park, a splendid backdrop boasting a serene swan pool, a classic Victorian bandstand, and elegant ornamental bridges – all ideal for capturing timeless photographs, especially for wedding celebrations. Inside, the journey begins in a warm, wood-paneled hall where a lovely old staircase ascends invitingly towards a stunning stained-glass window, itself a perfect spot for memorable pictures. Positioned conveniently just off this welcoming entrance hall, the Elgar Room itself is a light and airy space, perfectly sized to comfortably accommodate the bride and groom, celebrants, and up to 50 guests, including photographers and videographers, ensuring an intimate yet well-documented event.
