My passion for photography began in my teenage years, initially fueled by simple point-and-shoot film cameras that served their purpose for casual snapshots. However, I yearned for a more sophisticated tool that could unlock the potential for truly exceptional images. That desire led me to acquire my first DSLR in 2007, marking a significant step in my photographic journey. Since then, I've actively immersed myself in the world of photography, investing time in photography clubs, Open University courses, Royal Photographic Society courses, and courses from independent tutors. Through these experiences, my knowledge and skills have grown considerably over the years. A particular highlight of my photographic journey was earning the distinction of Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society in 2012, a personal accomplishment that fills me with immense pride.
I'm a truly laid-back and easy-going person, and that extends to my approach to photography. Nothing makes me happier than being outdoors, camera in hand, capturing the beauty of the world around me. My subjects are incredibly diverse, ranging from the sleek lines of boats to the vibrant plumage of birds, the delicate details of flowers, the historic architecture of churches, and the nostalgic charm of vintage vehicles and trains. But my passion doesn't stop there – I also love photographing people, preserving precious moments at weddings, capturing the connection between couples, documenting the joy of family shoots, the excitement of parties, and the solemnity of Christenings. Essentially, if there's a story to tell or a moment to remember, I'm eager to capture it through my lens.
