I enjoy working full time as a registered nurse here in Hereford, but I also look forward to my days off when I can grab my cameras and get out and about. Over the last two years or so I have developed a keen interest in photography and for me, this goes hand in hand with my love of the UK and its history. I love visiting old buildings, ruins, churches, anywhere with water or boats, National Trust, English Heritage, CADW properties, and these are in abundance here in the UK, so plenty to get out and photograph.

I am an ameteur photographer with lots to learn, so my photographs are not perfect in any way, but I have enjoyed taking them. I have completed a short Open University photography course for beginners, which I can reccommend, and am a member of the Leominster Photography Club here in Herefordshire. So far I have won one minor competition and was surprised to receive a commendation in another competition from an outside judge, who is a qualified photographer - the photograph in question is of the Old House here in Hereford and is on the entrance page to this site.

I use a Canon EOS 40D, a Canon EOS 450D, a Fuji Finepix S9600 (mostly for macro stuff) and a Fuji Finepix A900.
